Just in Time – premiere 26 April 2007
In Crowd Company’s new solo performance a lecturer prepares her appearance. During two minutes, stretched into an hour, we follow her thoughts and imagination until the overhead projector is switched on. On stage: an overhead projector, a file, a graph and dance on the walls and the floor.
Choreographer Marika Hedemyr has once again taken an everyday situation, twisted it and created a theatrical moment with humour and reflection. We will se an overhead projector used in ways we’ve never seen before. Dancer Maria Mebius Schröder makes a strong performance as the lecturer, a strict person with a lot of imagination, torn between her work and private life. Just in Time features new music and sound scapes by composer Mike Lloyd. The performance is approximately 60 minutes long
We also have the pleasure to announce that Marika Hedemyr recently received a grant of 70 000 SEK from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee for developing and researching her choreographic ideas during the coming year.
Crowd Company and the performance Just in Time is part of Reach Out - a project developing methods for selling dance performances, managed by Dansbyrån. More dance to a larger audience, simply put. Project- and sales manager Patrick Prohaszka (Tel +46-733-92 82 29) is currently planning the tour for the season 2007/2008.
